“Heng Long Tiger I” does not describe one unchanging electronics package. TK board generation, track upgrades, infrared configuration, motor mounts and included accessories may differ across editions. Use this reference to know what to ask before clicking buy, not to assume compatibility.

Start with a photograph of the control board
A seller may title a tank “TK7.0” because the transmitter looks modern, or may have swapped electronics. Request a clear photo of the board marking and receiver/transmitter model. For an older machine, also ask whether the original wiring was modified.
IR and BB variants
Infrared combat functionality and BB launchers are different hardware configurations. Some versions include selectable features, but a random used unit may not. If using a BB launcher, follow safety and local legal rules; protect eyes and never aim at people or pets.
Metal parts and their tradeoffs
Metal tracks, sprockets and gearboxes may be installed individually rather than as a matched kit. Heavier running gear can alter load and wear. Ask which parts are original and whether the original plastic pieces are included.
Validate the movements
Check proportional steering at slow speed, turret traverse, cannon elevation, sound and lights. Request a video with the tank off a stand to hear drivetrain and track noises. Some sound or smoke options can be disabled or broken independently of driving.
A realistic used-buying offer
Budget for shipping a heavy model safely, replacement tracks, battery health and possible work on gears or board connectors. A discounted tank with missing controller or uncertain electronics may be a better restoration project than an entry-level purchase.
What not to assume
Do not assume TK7.0 functions exist on TK6.x boards, that all “professional” packages include the same metal parts, or that unrelated IR systems will interoperate. Confirm the exact listing with the seller before payment.
Is TK7.0 the same thing as “all-metal”?
No. Electronics generation and running-gear materials are separate specifications.
Can older board kits be updated?
Conversion may be possible with the right parts, but check wiring and manufacturer guidance rather than guessing.
How this guide was assembled
We compared published manufacturer information and buying considerations. This is desk research, not a laboratory test or an endorsement of any marketplace seller. Listed models change and used configurations vary, so the current seller's photos and exact SKU are decisive.
